Ladder 4 Wine Bar is a Detroit neighborhood restaurant known for its playfully self proclaimed “grandma food” – comforting, familiar dishes paired with an exciting approach to natural wine. To complement their existing illustrated icon by Gianluca Cannizzo, I developed a visual identity that extends that same offbeat warmth across menus, signage, and event materials. The branding leans into a mix of imperfect vintage charm and contemporary edge, reflecting Ladder 4’s balance of comfort and curiosity.

Over the years, I’ve also created a series of posters for their most beloved events, capturing the vibrant, tight-knit community that gathers around the space. Together, these pieces form a brand world that feels as inviting and surprising as Ladder 4 itself.
